The Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Light (ATPIAL) is designed to be mounted on a weapon as an IR laser and illuminator and is the standard laser module for US military fighter aircraft. ATPIAL, also known by the military nomenclature AN/PEQ-15, is a small, lightweight and easy-to-use targeting system with built-in infrared and visible targeting lasers and an infrared illuminator.
The body is made of a high-density, impact-resistant polymer that lightens the weight of the product, which is important in case of long hours of carrying a rifle.
The instrument wraps around the Picatinny rail, providing a snag-resistant and low profile that is achieved by the recessed mount of the rail gripper. Recessed controls are located at the top of the case for easy access in the field with gloves.
One of the key features of ATPIAL is the combination of a visible laser diode, which increases functionality, allowing it to be used without night vision devices. The visible laser is synchronized with the IR laser pointer, that is, zero with one provides the same zero with the other. Thus, it is possible to accurately zero or check zero throughout the day using a simple sighting method.
The battery compartment at the back of the case allows you to remove the battery without removing the device. Molded lanyard loop at the back. Horizontal and vertical aiming are adjusted by small screws on the top and sides of the device. Each adjustment produces a positive click.
Scope of delivery: ATPIAL, soft carrying case, device operation and maintenance manual, quick reference guide, aiming output port cover, remote button, filter kit, Velcro fastener.
