PCS — new British Army uniform

The modern uniform of the British Army is called the Personal Clothing System (PCS) and is a holistic system of military clothing that has been in service since 2010. A new camouflage named Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP), was created for it — a universal pattern for all types of landscapes.

British Army Personal Clothing System: advantages and features

Unlike the previous version of the CS-95 uniform, the Personal Clothing System has a detailed cut and a number of details that significantly improve its quality and make it as convenient as possible for use in the field.

First of all, you should pay attention to the buttons — they were partially abandoned in favour of zippers for the sake of quick removal of clothes. Pocket buttons now covered with a special insert to prevent them from snagging on surrounding objects or being accidentally undone. There is protection against contents falling out, which works even if the pocket is turned upside down.

Thanks to shock cords along the hem and hood, UK MTP smocks allow thermoregulation. The same function is performed by ventilation pockets under the arms.

The new British UBACS has a reinforced collar that improves neck protection. The shoulders and sleeves are also reinforced and are more tear resistant than previous models.
