SureFire Helmet Light is a quick-release lighting fixture.
The case of the device, made of neoprene and lightweight waterproof polymer Nitrolon,
has six push-button LEDs built with three emission spectra,
the combination of which depends on the model of helmet-mounted lighting system.
On the case there is one and two lever switches: the upper switch controls the main LEDs on/off,
the lower switch controls the infrared (IR) beacon on/off,
and the button switch is responsible for the intensity of the main LEDs
(three set parameters for outgoing power: maximum, average at least).
Identification on the principle of "friend or foe" occurs when the infrared beacon is turned on in the infrared spectrum,
visible through night vision devices (at night), as well as thermal imagers (day and night, in adverse weather conditions).
