Nike

Nike, Inc. - American company, manufacturer of sporting goods. The company is headquartered in the western Portland suburb of Beaverton, Oregon.

The company was founded in 1964 by student Phil Knight, a middle-distance runner at the University of Oregon, and his coach Bill Bowerman in Eugene. At first the company was called Blue Ribbon Sports and specialized in ordering sneakers in Asian countries and then selling them on the American market. On May 30, 1971, it officially became Nike, Inc. The company got its name from Nike, the Greek goddess of victory.

Back in 2008, NIKE released the first boot in its Special Field System, the NIKE SFB. Fast-drying, flexible and featherlight, these boots are some of the most comfortable on the market. Despite the success of the original SFB, NIKE wasn’t satisfied. It went to military and tactical professionals and asked for feedback. Those suggestions were incorporated into a new design, the SFB Field. NIKE continues to add new generations of SFB footwear to the collection, each boot more innovative than the last.
