A folding knife such as the Firebird FH11 is a great choice for a versatile EDC knife or a utility knife for a hike. Due to the simplicity of its design, it is distinguished by its extreme reliability and resistance to dirt. And the use of first-class materials made it durable and resistant to corrosion.
The blade of the Firebird FH11 knife has the shape of a Normal blade and a smooth sharpening of the cutting edge, which makes it excellent for performing cutting and stabbing actions when working with food, fabrics and other materials. For the manufacture of the blade, stainless steel D2 is used, hardened to ~ 60 HRC.
The knife is opened with the help of the so-called “fin” (Flipper), which also acts as a kind of guard, protecting the user's palm from accidental injuries during operation.
In the open position, the knife is fixed with a Liner-lock. This mechanism is extremely easy to operate and remains operational even with heavy pollution. By the way, there is no need to disassemble the knife or use any special tools to clean it.
Despite the angular shape of the handle of the Firebird FH11, it fills the palm well and does not slip out when wet, as it has a sufficiently grippy textured surface. G10 polymer is used for the manufacture of grips and backspacer. This material is resistant to mechanical stress, temperature extremes and moisture.
In the end part of the handle there is a special hole for the lanyard, and a removable metal clip is installed on one side.
