The Gerber Sharkbelly Folder, Fine Edge, GB is a folding EDC nickname. It is no coincidence that the word "shark" appears in the name of the knife. It has an angular and "predatory" look, but at the same time quite stylish and attractive. Reliable and very practical knife, blade with a thin edge. The Sharkskin Grip™ has a textured handle and a scratch-resistant pocket clip.
The knife blade is made using 420HC steel. The peculiarity of the material lies in its saturation with carbon. In the knife industry, this type of steel is used especially widely. Due to the proportion of carbon in the range of 0.44-0.6%, it has not only decent cutting properties, but also good wear resistance. The hardness of this steel reaches 57 units on the Rockwell scale. The blade of the model has a straight type of sharpening.
The shape of the blade is Scramasax, or goat's foot. This shape is often found in professional knives. Good for scraping and comfortable straightening as the blade stays straight to the end of the cutting edge.
The lining material is glass filled nylon. It has the property of high strength, impact resistance and chemical inertness, which makes it oil and petrol resistant. The surface of the handle is rough, with notches and a characteristic bend, which makes holding the knife more comfortable and safe. The clip allows you to fix the product on a pocket, on a belt, attach it to a bag or backpack.
The length of the knife reaches 19.4 centimeters, the length of the blade is 8.1 centimeters. The model weighs 65 grams. Very tiny and lightweight.
