The Improved Combat Shelter (ICS) tent is a single-person camping product. Developed by contract manufacturer ORC Industries for the US military.
Features:
1. it is made of lightweight, durable, and flame-resistant Ripstop nylon with taped seams all around to ensure that it is compact (18.1 by 9.1 inches) and easy to carry when assembled (only 6.6 lb), the product is durable, protected from sunlight, wind, and moisture.
2. The product consists of a main tent and a rain cover, so the ICS can be configured in a variety of ways. In particular, in warm and clear weather, the tent can be used even without the rain cover.
3 The rain cover protects the tent from precipitation and forms a protected vestibule on one side of the tent for backpack storage while leaving the entrance to the rest area on the other side open for quick access.
4. ICS is made in ACU Digital camouflage coloring, which provides a high level of camouflage of the fighter's rest area and invisibility of dirt on the tent surface.
5. A blackout lining is sewn into the tent walls. It prevents light from penetrating inside, which allows you to sleep and rest comfortably even during the day. At the same time, the light from a flashlight, tablet, or smartphone from inside does not penetrate outside the tent and does not demask the location of the fighter.
6. The addition of rubber provides a waterproof bottom for extra protection on wet ground and during inclement weather.
7. Reinforced aluminum poles withstand sharp wind gusts, tropical downpours, moderate snow cover, and allow for easy installation and removal:
- cross-tie two poles at the corners of the tent, then attach hooks to the poles and set up the structure;
- to add a tent, fasten it to the fasteners located on the corners of the tent and slip the tent over the top;
- to keep the tent tight to the ground and more effectively protect it from rain and wind, you will need to add another pole and ties.
8. The optimal dimensions of the unfolded tent make it easy to fit into any terrain: 96.1 inches long, 40.6 inches wide, and 32b7 inches at the highest point.
