The Improved Combat Shelter (ICS) is a single-person tent manufactured by ORC Industries and used by the U.S. Army. It is made of lightweight, durable, flame and abrasion resistant ripstop nylon. Withstands rain, wind and the weight of snow on the roof.

US Army Improved Combat Shelter Features
- Made of flame retardant materials with taped seams all around.
- Consists of a main shelter and rain tent, so the ICS can be configured in a variety of ways. In warm weather without precipitation, the shelter can be used without the rain cover.
- The rain cover protects against precipitation and also forms a vestibule on one side of the tent for storing a backpack, while the other side is open for quick entry and exit.
- Set up quickly and easily:
- attach the two main poles to the corners of the main tent in the shape of a cross and attach the tent hooks to the poles to set it up;
- to add the rain cover, fasten it to the fasteners on the corners of the tent and slip it on;
- you can add an additional pole and ties to keep the tent close to the ground and provide better protection from rain and wind;
- once the tent is in place, there is more storage space for gear, which can be accessed from inside or outside the tent with a zipper.
- The tent walls have a blackout lining that keeps light out, allowing you to sleep comfortably even during the day. At the same time, the light from a flashlight or phone in the tent does not penetrate outside and does not demask the user.
- Rubberized waterproof bottom for extra protection on wet ground and during inclement weather.
- Reinforced aluminum poles that can withstand moderate snow cover and also allow for easy set-up and take-down.
