HackRF One is an open source software-defined radio platform that can be used as a USB peripheral or programmed to operate autonomously, receive or transmit radio signals from 1 MHz to 6 GHz band. It can be used to listen to radio broadcasts and as an integral part of electronic warfare systems to interfere with enemy devices.
This version of the SDR transceiver has a new version of Portapack H2 Mayhem Firmware Flashed. The HackRF One Portapack expansion board has a 3.2-inch digital display, so programming can be done directly on the device.
The HackRF One Portapack expansion board allows you to experiment, record, listen, decode and transmit RF signals in the field without using a computer. Custom HackRF firmware supports an audio receiver, several built-in digital decoders and transmitters.
Portapack does not require a PC to receive and transmit signals.
Note. Mayhem firmware needed for portapack has been flashed into the Hackrf demo board. And each one has been tested before shipping. You can use it directly by just one click of the knob button to boot the device.
The device has a built-in 2500 mAh battery, as well as a TCXO 0.1ppm temperature-compensated crystal oscillator.
HackRF One Examples of using
FM radio. Listen to local FM radio and learn the fundamentals of recording and signal analysis, as well as basic signal analysis tools.
GPS. By understanding the basics of intercepting and receiving GPS signals, you can deeply understand the principle of GPS and recognize its security vulnerability.
Wireless listening. By intercepting and analyzing wireless signals, data packets can be received and analyzed.
Recording and reproduction of signals. By capturing, storing and transmitting wireless signals, you can record and playback signals.
