The North American Rescue Talon II Model 90C Litter is a folding half rigid litter from North American Rescue, used by US and NATO military personnel, military and civilian medical services worldwide.
It is the most compact and versatile litter to transport a casualty to the necessary place.
The differences of this model from the previous ones are the presence of rigid poles and legs that lift the injured person above the surface by about 15 centimetres, and rigid handles for transport. These are not hinges, but full-fledged, strong handles with ergonomic design, allowing two people to carry a casualty.
The handles have a locking mechanism that secures them when unfolded. The NAR Talon II Model 90C's four-section main surface is made of a strong polymer material with a three-dimensional weave. Due to the weave and the use of polymer, the litter surface does not absorb water or body fluid from the casualty. With its relative lightness, the NAR Talon II Model 90C can hold almost half a tonne of weight, which is more than enough for transporting large casualties, even with additional equipment (according to the manufacturer).
For added comfort and security, the NAR Talon II Model 90C is equipped with two adjustable slings with large-sized fasteners, which can be used to secure the victim in the chest area and just above the knee.
The stretcher comes with a Warrior Aid and Litter Kit (WALK) bag.
The bag is one of the elements of the rescue kit designed for treatment of several casualties and immediate evacuation of one patient. It is specially designed for this model of litter.
The product has adjustable shoulder straps, 3 front zip pockets and 4 side pockets with fasteners. The main compartment closes with Velcro. There are special connectors for litter legs.
