Thermal imaging sight Delta TWS 50 LRF
Like other representatives of the Delta TWS line, this model is equipped with the latest generation of thermal imaging unit manufactured by iRay Corporation. The matrix of the Delta TWS 50 LRF optical sight has a number of characteristics that expand the capabilities of the device:
- based on uncooled microbolometers with temperature sensitivity threshold NETD <50 mK;
- the basis of the sensor, which received a high sensitivity of 384 x 288 dpi, was vanadium oxide;
- The frame rate is 50 Hz - this is a guarantee that a fast-moving picture maintains optimal contrast and sharpness of the contours;
- the matrix core received a pixel pitch of 12 microns - the result was the ability to detect thermal signatures that were removed over long distances (the data obtained from the results of testing the device confirmed the possibility of detecting a person at a distance of up to 2 km, declared by the manufacturers);
- the thermal imaging unit retains its working qualities when operating the device in conditions of low and high temperatures - according to the user manual, this thermal imaging sight can be used at a temperature of -50 to +50°C.
The sensor of the device is endowed with high performance and makes it possible to detect minimal temperature fluctuations on the surfaces of potential targets - the indicator of the corresponding difference is less than 0.05 ° C.
Display
The Delta TWS 50 LRF thermal sight is equipped with the latest OLED display based on light emitting organic diodes with a solid resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
This screen is full color - it is characterized by significant depth, saturation, natural hues and high image contrast. The clarity of the picture does not reduce the use of the device in conditions of severe frost, and the display of such optical equipment consumes energy rationally.
Shooters using a device with such a screen can adjust the intensity of the light emitted by it. By reducing the glow level, the shooter will be able to comply with the rules of disguise.
Lens features
The technical filling of the device includes a germanium lens F50 / 1.0. Such optics are capable of increasing the parameters of a heat-contrasting object by 2-8 times, which will make it possible to accurately hit distant targets. The field of view of this thermal scope is 10.7 x 8°.
Since the exit pupil is 40 mm removed, the shooter who wears glasses will not need to apply close to the device. But if the diopter deviations in the hunter's vision are included in the range from -6 to +4 D, he can go for trophies with the Delta TWS 50 XL / LRF sight and without glasses - the technique lens provides for the appropriate diopter adjustment.
The lens equipment includes a focusing mechanism (it can be used to focus from a distance of 5 meters) and a non-removable protective cover (when working with a thermal imaging device, this cover conveniently leans to one side).
Application Specifics
This thermal imaging sight is not afraid of difficult weather conditions and high humidity. It can be safely used during sleet and rainy weather.
The body of the product is distinguished by the protection class IEC 60529 - IP67. It, equipped with a special anodized coating, received high structural reliability and strength. Contact during hunting of the device with branches of trees and bushes, falling on the ground and stones will not lead to mechanical damage to the device.
The Delta TWS 50 LRF model can be used on any type of hunting weapon, including those with significant muzzle energy shots. It is impact resistant up to 6 kJ. By adapting the device to the conditions of firing and the type of weapon, it is possible to introduce corrections in the range of ≥±15mil.
The color palettes of the image of this technique are also adjusted. Its functionality offers four options for color modes, three of which are "hot" (red, black and white) and one "rainbow" (multicolor). If the target is at a considerable distance from the hunter, it is better to choose "hot" palettes. The peculiarity of the Pseudo color format is the most accurate identification of the object and the selection of points that are optimal for aiming.
The equipment of this device for hunting also includes a laser-type rangefinder. It will allow you to accurately calculate the footage to a potential target.
The sensor and optics of the Delta TWS 50 LRF thermal imaging sight are so technically advanced that they allow you to reproduce the same clear image at any time of the day, as well as in adverse weather, such as fog, snowstorms and heavy rain.
Key Benefits
According to professionals, the Delta TWS 50 LRF thermal imaging sight has the following advantages:
- excellent picture quality, regardless of hunting conditions;
- the best opportunities for making accurate shots;
- reliability and durability of a design;
- ease of use - the product is compact, weighs 0.6 kg, and its controls are intuitive;
- a good resource of autonomous work - the batteries of the device are AA batteries (4 pcs.), They allow you to install be active from 5 to 7 hours.
