Cold Steel FGX Tai Pan fixed blade training knife.
The blade is made of durable fiberglass reinforced Grivory plastic, so it is not magnetic and cannot be detected by a metal detector. The FGX Nightshade blade will not rust, warp, crack or split even in the most demanding conditions. It is light enough to be tied, tucked, or taped anywhere, and since it is not affected by heat or cold, it is suitable for concealed storage both indoors and outdoors.
The knife handle is made of Kraton®, which is a synthetic rubber or TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) elastomer. Elastomers have many of the same characteristics as their natural counterpart, rubber. These materials can be deformed quite easily and then regain their former volumes and shapes.
The handle is equipped with a metal ring for attaching to gear or a hook for storage.
