Umarex was founded in 1972 and started out with the production of flare guns and tear gas cans. A little later, the range of the company expanded, and the company began to produce air rifles.
Initially, the name of the company sounded like "Umareck", but later it was renamed "Umarex", and to this day this name is known all over the world, because the company occupies the status of one of the largest European arms manufacturers.
The first Reck PK 800 gas pistol went on sale in 1978 and was an incredible success for the company. In 1937, a Walther company manager obtained the rights to develop a pistol that fired blank cartridges. Soon the pistol was designed and named Perfecta (now gas pistols widely known all over the world are produced under this brand). The appearance of Perfecta served as the basis for the creation of a new company Umarex, which in a fairly short time took its place of honor on the market.
The main difference of the company is that Umarex creates exact copies of its "firearms" down to the markings. Thanks to this approach, the company immediately gained recognition and recognition all over the world.
In 1993, Umarex obtained the exclusive rights to make exact copies of such well-known manufacturers as Beretta, Magnum, Smith & Wesson, Glock and other well-known companies.
