Individual First Aid Kit of the US Army IFAK II (Individual First Aid Kit)
IFAK II - is a modified individual first aid kit.
Features:
- added a film for sealing the chest or occlusive film.
Designed to prevent pneumothorax caused by chest injury.
- added shield for the eyes - a small, oval disk with a gasket on the rim and the ventilation holes in the body.
Designed for lining the damaged eye of a fighter in order to relieve pressure on the eyeball
when a wounded soldier’s head is wrapped with bandages.
- A modified pouch can be fixed on the back of the equipment so as not to interfere with the fighter.
- The pouch has the inscription "US IFAK" for quick identification by soldiers.
- individual pouches for turnstiles have labels for writing blood type.
- the contents of IFAK II are easily accessed by both right-handers
and left-handers from the cartridge pouch due to the presence of special straps on both sides.
- after removal, the inner kit remains attached to the outer pouch by an elastic cable.
