This is the second generation of the popular Army's flame resistant combat shirt.
Lightweight, comfortable and breathable, the Type II shirt is designed for flame protection and increased comfort when wearing body armor in hot climates.
Army Combat Flame Resistant Shirt Type II Features
- Changes have been made to the design of the model, with a larger area of camouflaged inserts and a ¼ shirt length zipper on the front.
- This tactical shirt of fire-resistant materials and also provides comfortable wearing in hot weather.
- Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble (FREE) is an innovative material that does not melt or support combustion. Its main features are fire resistance, lightness and breathability.
- The shirt meets the ASTM international standard (F2302-03) for flame resistance.
- The comfortable and elastic torso allows air circulation, drains sweat well and reduces skin irritation when wearing the vest.
- Sleeves with abrasion-resistant elbow protectors made of SuperFabric fabric provide protection against flame and mechanical damage.
- Adjustable sleeve cuffs with Velcro fasteners.
- Flat seam construction prevents chafing.
- Sleeve pockets with YKK zippers.
- Velcro panel on the left forearm for attachment of unit emblem and IFF identification tag.
- Velcro panels on the right forearm for attaching flag, rank and name ribbon.
- Slots for 2 pencils or pens on the left forearm.

Front panel material: 46% Cotton, 46% Rayon, 8% Spandex
Sleeves and side: 93% Cotton, 7% Spandex
