The organization of the resistance movement, the destruction of tanks with the help of Javelins, the rescue of a downed pilot and other tasks were practiced by the Ukrainian SOF unit during the active phase of the Combined Resolve 16 multinational exercises in Germany.

The volume of tasks that the special forces unit faced during the exercises was quite large and varied. During the maneuvers, the special forces searched for and rescued the pilot of the downed aircraft, adjusted the fire of artillery and aviation, as well as carried out additional reconnaissance of the area with the cleaning of especially dangerous areas to ensure the successful completion of tasks by infantry units.

In addition, together with Lithuanian colleagues, issues of organizing a resistance movement in settlements occupied by the enemy were worked out.

- In particular, at the final stage of the active phase of the exercises, Ukrainian special forces participated in the battles for the city of Ubensdorf. Thanks to the coordinated and decisive actions of our group, with the help of Javelin anti-tank missile systems, we managed to destroy 3 enemy T-72 tanks, - said the commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that during the Combined Resolve 16 exercises, the Ukrainian unit was visited by the Deputy Commander of the US Special Operations Forces in Europe, Colonel Mark LaRoche. He listened to the commander of the SSPO unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, approved the operation plan for training, and also noted the professionalism and high level of training of our special forces.
