From September 27 to October 7, 2021, the 73rd Maritime Center of the SPP named after Koshevoy Ataman Antin Golovaty took part in the largest Northern European military exercise of special operations forces "Night Hawk 2021", held in the Kingdom of Denmark.

Night Hawk 2021

Training took place throughout Denmark: on land, at sea and in the air, and sometimes in densely populated areas of cities, where the soldiers worked out the scenario of the exercises in conditions close to combat.

A feature of the Night Hawk 2021 exercise is to improve the skills of SOF warriors in scenarios of hybrid threats and methods of warfare. The basis of these scenarios is special conditions: when the enemy not only captures critical infrastructure, but also accompanies it with cyberattacks on government institutions, disinformation and disorientation of society, and the like.

The number of participants from partner countries totals 2,500 military personnel from 13 countries - Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Ukraine.

The first military exercise "Night Hawk" took place in Denmark in the early 90s. Since then, their tasks and scope have developed so much that they are recognized at the international level, primarily due to the maximum approximation of the tasks to realistic conditions. The previous exercises were held in 2018 with the participation of 1,800 troops from 8 countries.
