In Ukraine, in the Lviv region, on the basis of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sagaidachny, the multinational Ukrainian-American military exercises Rapid Trident - 2021 are continuing.
This year, about 6,000 participants from 15 countries of the world are taking part in the exercise. In addition to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are also involved in them.

The training is the final stage of intensive annual events for the training of units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It has an exclusively defensive nature and is aimed at strengthening national defense capabilities, practicing joint actions, and deepening compatibility with the armed forces of the United States and other partner states.
The Ukrainian military has something to share with Western partners. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have unique combat experience.
It is worth noting that this year, within the framework of Rapid Trident-2021, for the first time, tactical exercises of a multinational battalion with live firing and joint landing of Ukrainian and American soldiers are being held.

Recall that the Ukrainian-American military exercises RapidTrident - 2021 will last from September 20 to October 1, 2021. The Ukrainian-American command post exercise Rapid Trident is a continuation of the Peace Shield series of exercises. They began in 1995 within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the California National Guard, with the widespread involvement of representatives of the armed forces of other countries.
