The modern tactical uniform brand UF Pro originates from UNI&FORMA, a company based in Slovenia since 1997, which initially focused on providing large organizations such as the Police, Border Guard and Armed Forces with quality field uniforms and official clothing. During its more than 20-year history, this company has become a well-known supplier in the local market, which has attracted the interest of less and less numerous divisions with specific needs and requirements. A combination of technological materials, innovative design approaches, and reliable European manufacturing were the answer to these demands and laid the foundation for the brand culture UF Pro is known for today, thanks to the development of comfortable and functional pants, jackets, tactical shirts and accessories.
UF Pro Striker XT Gen. 2 Combat Shirt is a combat shirt, the cut of which is optimized for long-term use of personal body armor in hot climates and high levels of physical activity. The main purpose of this wardrobe item is to regulate your body temperature by quickly absorbing and removing excess moisture that forms under the surface of the armor plates. In addition, it provides a sufficient level of protection against minor injuries to your hands, and also has a positive effect on the overall comfort of the user when wearing body armor and plate carriers for a long time. A 50% combination of nylon and cotton reinforced with reinforced RipStop fibers is responsible for protecting the surface of the hands, shoulders and neck from mechanical damage, abrasion and insects. Nylon and reinforcements provide these areas with resistance to abrasion, stretching and tearing, while cotton provides comfort for extended wear.
Since these areas are not externally covered by individual protective or unloading equipment, the main material is also made in a Multicam camouflage pattern, and the cut here provides for the placement of sleeve pockets in the shoulder and forearm areas to speed up access to their contents.
A woven mesh made of 100% polyester is responsible for thermoregulation, the structure of which provides for the absorption and distribution of moisture in order to enhance convective cooling. This material covers the torso from the front and the back, respectively, since these areas suffer the most from the deterioration of air circulation, increase in temperature and increased sweating, which occurs under the surface of rigid elements of armor protection.
In addition to the actual materials, the cut of the shirt will also affect the increase in comfort. In particular, the upper surface of the shoulders has a pocket for placing removable UF PRO air/pac® dampers with a height of 0.8 centimeters, which are designed to distribute the load and improve air circulation in the shoulder area, especially under the straps of backpacks, plate carriers and body armor. Their presence significantly affects comfort and reduces the feeling of rubbing and squeezing in the area of the collarbones and trapezius muscles of the neck. If necessary, these dampers can be removed for ventilation, washing or maintenance.

The stand-up collar of the shirt is 6.5 centimeters high and covers most of the neck, providing the wearer with protection from the sun, rain and insects. In the front, it is equipped with a central zipper that goes down 24.5 centimeters. This YKK zipper has a single slider and features an internal wind flap, the top fold of which prevents the slider's metal from coming into contact with your skin.
The length of the zipper is calculated in such a way as not to cause discomfort when wearing body armor over it. At the same time, it not only allows you to comfortably remove and put on a shirt over your head, but can also be used to control the body's thermoregulation when weather conditions and levels of physical activity change.
Underarms UF Pro Striker XT Gen. 2 Combat Shirt has special perforated inserts made of a combination of polyester and Merino wool. Since this area experiences the greatest perspiration, especially when the temperature rises and the intensity of physical activity increases, the distribution and evaporation of moisture here should occur almost the fastest. At the same time, Merino wool is known for its antibacterial and anti-allergenic qualities, so it is not surprising that this material ended up here, especially if you pay attention to its resistance to the formation of unpleasant odors and biological decay.
On the shoulders of the shirt there are symmetrical arm pockets with useful dimensions of 16 x 20 centimeters (width / height). Access to their inner space is provided by a vertical YKK zipper 16 centimeters high. The back edge of the pockets has a small allowance in the main material, which allows the pocket to increase its depth to carry maps, notebooks, stationery, tourniquets, gloves and other useful small items that you need quick access to.
In the photo above, it is also worth noting the small straight whip of the main material, which protrudes from the front top corner of the pocket above the zipper. If you need to quickly open a pocket with one hand, which is sometimes difficult to do depending on the position of the hand and the contents of the pocket, you can bite this whip with your teeth. So you will have a hard fixation point from which you can quite easily pull the zipper slider down.
Above these arm pockets is a 9 x 13.5 cm (W x H) looped velcro that can be used to accommodate a variety of identification insignia: unit chevrons, epaulettes, morale patches, reflective panels, infrared and strobe beacons, etc.

With their help, you can flexibly adjust the width of the cuffs to the current gloves, watches, GPS navigators and other accessories that will be placed on your hands.
Overall, the UF Pro Striker XT Gen. 2 Combat Shirt combines comfort and functionality, providing the user with the ability to transport quite a lot of equipment in pockets and on platforms. Torso materials do a good job of removing excess heat and moisture in areas covered by rigid body armor and dense materials of protective and relief equipment. And the durable materials of the sleeves and shoulders reliably protect exposed areas of the body from friction, bad weather and sun exposure. Damping inserts on the shoulders deserve special attention, thanks to which your body armor or rucksacks will seem lighter to you, and will have a positive effect on comfort during prolonged wear.
