The article is very, very superficial, we just wanted to give a general idea of the price level in US SF.
The approximate cost of Special Forces equipment (Green Berets) for 2017-2018.
In this article, of course, a lot of errors, because it’s impossible to figure out the exact number for many positions, if only because the fighters of the United States Special Forces (US SF) can use (and use) a completely different layout, depending on many factors, including: specialization, mission goals and personal preferences.
It should be understood that in most cases we found commercial prices that are listed on the office. sites and various trading floors, which is not entirely correct, because often contracted purchase prices are much lower than commercial prices. However, in most cases, information about the state. The contracts are closed and it is simply not possible to find out purchase prices. It is also worthwhile to understand that part of the equipment and equipment is purchased by fighters of special forces independently, and many contract positions are even more expensive (taking into account the costs of research and production, if these developments were initiated by the US Armed Forces). Prices are indicated at the time of writing and it is far from always possible to get them from the official websites of manufacturers or official dealers, which is why in these cases prices are given from various trading platforms.
Separately, I would like to point out that the purpose of this article is only to give an approximate idea of the price level for equipment and equipment of US SF soldiers and in no case does this article describe even a small fraction of the equipment and equipment used by soldiers of this special forces unit.
P.S. There are probably inaccuracies in the article: if you notice them, please indicate this in the comments. However, we kindly ask you not to write in the comments “but you forgot to indicate this!”: We didn’t forget anything - this is not a whale list, but simply very approximate price tags for certain types of equipment and gear.

As a result, we have a fighter whose equipment, equipment and weapons cost several tens of thousands of dollars (even at contract prices). I think it is worth saying that the cost of equipment given above is not a complete list of costs for each fighter, because we did not take into account much of what is used by US SF fighters:
- We did not take into account the cost of underwear, clothes for cold and wet weather (various sets of PCU);
- The cost of bivouac equipment was not taken into account;
- The cost of chemical kits was not taken into account. protection and price of gas masks;
- Various cases and storage systems were not taken into account;
- We did not take into account the filling of IFAK and various small things;
- The cost of stores and ammunition was not taken into account;
- We did not take into account the cost of training courses and subsequent training of each fighter, as well as the cost of accommodation / flights during business trips and, of course, did not take into account wages.
- And like a cherry on a cake: we did not take into account the depreciation of equipment and its planned replacement.
