Tactical Rifleman, wants to show experts and amateurs different points of view on shooting, movement, weapons and tactics from different members of our elite military units.

This week we have Jason Falin, a former US fur seal and founder of Arion Risk LLC, will show you one of many, a complete set of body armor, which fur seals use to perform one of many types of assignments. In this video, Jason will review for us a complete set of body armor used for quick assault, quick response and low visibility tasks, when his other, cumbersome equipment will interfere with efficiency and reaction time.

Seals carry out highly specialized operations around the world and have different versions of equipment sets of body armor for each operation. The package bundle is usually based on the requirements of 80% of a specific operation and varies with each fighter. Long ground operations require more space and unloading space to allow fighters to carry more equipment. A complete set of equipment for marine operations, for example, should provide buoyancy in the event of an unwanted release into the water, as well as have the necessary safety items when withdrawing above water from a helicopter. I know that everyone has their own opinion regarding the placement and availability of certain tactical items, but I’m here to tell you that each fighter is given the opportunity to flexibly organize their own set of equipment.

Certain items are “equipment common to all” that each person must wear as a standard load, but the equipment necessary to perform the work according to the position in the platoon will be placed by all fighters in their own order. By the time the platoon is ready for withdrawal, all its members are more familiar with each other's equipment. Each cat will have a different configuration, but, as a rule, the equipment shown in the video is quite close to what you see in a typical SEAL operation. At the end of the day, when you were clearing the target, if you carry your part of the load and look cool, this is SUCCESS.
