Hello everyone, dear friends!

Today I would like to tell you about the original Norotos RHINO II Bayonet / Horn NVG Mount (hereinafter referred to as Rhino II), which replaced the well-known Norotos USGI “Rhino” Mount Arm (hereinafter referred to as Rhino I), which for 25 years was US military standard for wearing night vision goggles. Compare both models.

Rhino II provides a new level of versatility and performance due to more flexible adjustment: vertical, horizontal, tilt. A very important addition to the Rhino II is vertical adjustment, which allows you to quickly adjust the desired position of the night vision device, while on the obsolete Rhino I, the user had to search for the desired position by adjusting the helmet's suspension system.

Similar materials - lightweight and durable aircraft aluminum.

At Rhino I, the attachment point for the adapters, which hangs slightly on the rails, as well as the adapters in the socket itself (slightly J-arm), is slightly loosened, this is especially manifested with time of use. In this regard, Rhino II lacks any backlash. The rails are solid, without marks, which allows you to more accurately adjust the horizontal position of the night vision device, while on Rhino I the setting is stepwise due to the presence of marks on the rails. The fixing of all moving parts on the Rhino II is tightly fixed with screws. The night vision devices AN / PVS-7B (D), AN / PVS-14 are very tight in the mount.

The Rhino II has a shorter horizontal platform than the Rhino I by about 1.5 cm, which visually reduces the silhouette of the helmet mount without compromising horizontal adjustment flexibility.

To summarize, Rhino II is essentially the same Rhino I, but with significant improvements. And if you are looking for a reliable Bayonet / Horn mount that does not play and provides more reliable and comfortable wearing night vision devices, then Rhino II is your choice.

Thanks for your attention!
